What’s happening now

I’m posting to Radio UserLand using the mail-to-weblog feature again.

It seems OK. Today, though, it’s just an exercise, because I’m actually
using the computer that runs Radio. But still, practice is a good thing.

Well, as you may have guessed, since I haven’t posted in ages, my site
traffic is *way down*. I’m not complaining, though. I totally
understand. I’m just puzzled as to why the search engine traffic dropped
off the face of the earth. Even my serendipitous hits from the whole
“PlanPlus crack” quirk have evaporated.

I’m not positive, but I suspect that the referer report from the UserLand
servers filter out a fair amount of noise, but I think some things fall
through the cracks.

I’m planning to move my weblog to my own server. The task seems daunting
in my “spare time” and requires me to learn arcane things about Radio,
like UserTalk. Don’t get me wrong, I like Radio–but another learning
curve?? Ugh.

I found a good post about moving a Radio weblog. I’ll link to it later.
